Photogrammetry Sourdough Loaf
Photogrammetry Sourdough Loaf

Besides environment art, I absolutely love to bake. I figured why not go ahead and scan my latest loaf before I cut into it, and I was thrilled with the results!. My setup is a Sigma Art 24-70mm II 2.8 lens, Sony A7IV, a Godox AR400 Ringflash with a ScanSpace polarizing filter.

Only took about 63 photos for this due to how spontaneous it was, and how heavy my camera was. Next time I will just throw my camera onto my tripod and use a turntable, but I was excited and under prepped.

Material bake (pun intended) was done in Substance Designer with next to no actual tweaks, just reducing some of the albedo contrast, the ring flash did all necessary de-lighting.

You can see the actual loaf, thank you eternally Phi for teaching my your baker ways over Google meet back in 2020.
