One of the fun props I got to work on for Redfall was a projector. Other than the general footprint I was given pretty free reign with creating this, so I took inspiration from a few different vintage projectors. I was responsible for the design, high poly model, and materials and textures. The low poly creation and UVs was handled by an external vendor for sake of velocity, with my feedback throughout the process.
The internal mechanisms were a kitbash of an existing external vendor asset to create something that reads as believable. This was an interesting and honestly fun challenge working within the limitations of an kitbashing an asset mean for an entirely different purpose (in this case a lighthouse lamp)
